How to remove eye makeup?

The skin of the eyelids and eye contour area is extremely thin and almost devoid of a protective hydrolipidic film. This area, therefore, requires the use of specific products, different from those of the rest of the face.

Make-up removal is also an essential gesture at the end of the day. Poor make-up removal can irritate the eyes, cause the eyelashes to fall out prematurely, and damage the skin around the water.

How to remove eye makeup properly?

• Soak a cotton pad with a small amount of mild makeup remover. Gently sweep it over the closed eye, from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner. Then gently slide it from the root of the lashes to the tip to remove the mascara.
• If you wear waterproof makeup, use a makeup remover specifically designed for this type of makeup.
• Then apply an eye contour treatment with light tapping motions to the edge of the eye socket, from the inside out. The quantity to use: the equivalent of a grain of rice.

Gestures to avoid :

• Rub the skin and the eyelashes.
• To remove make-up with an unsuitable product: baby lotion, tonic, soap, shower gel.
