How to take care of your skin?
Facial care involves three fundamental gestures.
1) Cleaning / Make-up removal morning and evening :
Cleaning with a suitable product is recommended:
- in the morning, to eliminate sebum and dead cells accumulated on the surface of the epidermis during the night ;
- in the evening, to rid the skin of the impurities (dust, perspiration, sebum, make-up...) of the day.
The skin of the face being particularly sensitive, this cleansing must be carried out using a soft cleanser which will preserve the hydrolipidic film of the skin. Most body gels or soaps are too aggressive for facial skin. Water alone, however, is not enough.
- Avoid the eye contour area, whose skin is extremely fragile.
- Do not rub your skin when cleaning: massage gently with a cotton pad or fingertips.
- Carefully wipe the skin with a clean towel.
2) Hydrate every day :
The application of a moisturizing care product helps to maintain the protective barrier role played by the epidermis, to preserve its physical qualities, particularly its elasticity, and helps to delay the appearance of the signs of aging.
This gesture is particularly important in winter and summer: cold, wind and high contrasts in temperature and sunlight promote skin dryness.
- Apply the care morning and evening to perfectly cleansed skin, from the center of the face outwards, using gentle gestures so as not to wrinkle the skin.
- Extend the application to the neck and décolleté, whose skin also needs regular moisturizing.
- The quantity to be used: the equivalent of a small hazelnut.
3) Exfoliate, 1 to 2 times a week:
Choose a gentle exfoliation, which you will apply with your fingertips, using small circular motions and taking care to avoid the eye contour area.
Respect the recommended frequency of use: too close exfoliation may cause the eyes to look dull:
- irritate and aggravate the dryness of skins with dry tendency ;
- cause reactive hyperseborrhea in oily skin.
Carry out the exfoliation on clean skin, and apply a moisturizer once the exfoliation has been rinsed off.
